He had to rise at 3:00 AM every day
To earn some money to make his way.
His family relied on him for food
He promised to provide-
And his word was good.
This is my life he thought
As he haggled daily with customers
For the goods they sought.
Sweat dripping over his brow
As he leaned over his plow
Back bent with the load
Heat rising from the road
Head burning,face tanned through
The sign read: Complaining BANNED! Thank you.
Till one day his overworked worn-out body
Decided it had enough misery
And gave out...cold.
So here lies Ahmed Hassan the Palestinian-
9 years, 4 months, and 12 days old.
