Christina is a writer and freelance editor with a background in language teaching and literature. Presently enjoying what she expects to be an extended leave from academia, Christina is excited about extending her learning—and deepening her sense of community—outside and beyond the university.
After completing an MA in English literature in 2010, Christina became certified to teach English as a foreign language to adults. The most rewarding aspect of her classroom experiences was connecting with international students in a learning environment. With so much energy, good will, and creative thought brewing in a single language classroom, she began to imagine the possibilties of learning exchanges across wider networks.
Christina remains optimistic about the creative and productive potential of teams of learners from diverse places collaborating on projects that thematize global citizenship, difference, responsibility, and local action.
