Humans are destroying the world's forests at an alarming rate. As forests are logged or burnt, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere, accelerating climate change. DeforestACTION is a global learning project designed to help students develop 21st century skills while addressing one of the world's most pressing environmental issues.
The DeforestACTION thematic classroom is a customizable, virtual classroom (see a preview!) that allows educators and students to access a range of interactive online tools, resources and learning activities related to deforestation. The classroom is equipped with various technology tools including blogs, discussion boards, live video chat and hosts learning activities for primary and secondary-level students.
