Every morning when I wake, I take my bath before leaving the house.I have two flatmates who only take thier baths twice a week.Having grown up is coutnry of minimum 23 degrees, subzeros degrees seem like living hell for me.But this does not bother me every morning as I grew up believing that like brushing one's teeth, everyday bath was important to personal hygiene.

Society's culture is largely defined by it's environment.People living in high tempratures shower everyday because they sweat for most part of the day,in colder climates, because people do not sweat so much, there is hardly need to take a shower everyday.

In developed countries, the social system provides an opportunity for everybody to make a decent living. Thus developed societies are collective providing opportunities for the individaul to survive by himself. The case is however very different on less developed societies,as an individual, you can not achieve much because there is no social welfare and this is where the family unit becomes very important.Individual growth becomes a collective effort,no one person 'does it all' by him/herself.

The differentiating symptoms of both societies are:

Developed Societies
1.High rate of suicides
2.High use of pychaitrists and pychologists
3.Individuals can follow thier dreams
4.Individuals are very independent

Underdeveloped societies
1.Individuals lack personal dreams
2.Heavy dependence on the family unit for support
3.Low suicide rates
4.Warm human relations

in summary,it is important to note that cultures are never bad nor backward, they are just different. It is important to know and appreciate the situation of a society before passing any form of judgement on that society.
