Peace & Conflict   Opinions

September 11th was a tragic day, a day when humanity lost its dignity. Minds and hearts of those who survived were infiltrated with a never-ending fear, fear of the fact that the safest place on earth was no longer safe. It was also a day for celebration, true, but not for the Palestinians, or the "FANATIC" Muslim groups in Asia, but for terrorists, as they had not started but won the war, the war that we were fighting, and didn’t know. The incident was not the only thing people were afraid of, but its aftermath, afraid of the fact that they would be stabbed in the back or hurled stones upon if they represented an ethnic community, or if their women wore Purdah, a symbol of modesty. Afraid that while the terrorists or their partners seek asylum in the least expected place, third world countries pay the price, and afraid that even though they live millions of lives away from the incident, their lives are also at stake.

Though people largely support the American objective, did they even think about the Afghani orphans who are hungry for days and don’t have proper clothing for the severe Afghani winter? Those I am sure not the people responsible for the WTC incident. Most people would agree that what happened on September 11th was out of years of planning and training, so, when we think of a counterstrike why do it in haste? Why kill more when thousands have already gone?

Now I speak for the Pakistanis. Some of us consider the US correct and are adamant over their decision. Some rather most have an indifferent attitude and cannot decide weather Osama is really responsible for all this, when asked they say that the US should provide evidence, true this should be the case. But there are two more groups of divided opinion. One of them are peaceful and good Muslims that have proof and evidence that Osama is not responsible, but some one else who wants Osama to be blamed and Islam to suffer. And last is the group over which emotions rule. Though they are good people (normally) they guard their ideology and religion very jealously, and go 'CRAZY' if they hear anything about it, which is wrong, and is against Islamic teachings. In their opinion blaming Osama is good enough to be a call for war, and in their opinion it’s not the terrorists but Muslims who are being targeted and that is why they have taken up arms.

In my opinion a good Muslim who believes in the Almighty God, is not capable of doing this disgraceful act. I would also like to mention some things I came across, which I think qualify for good evidences. 4,000 Jewish workers were missing from the WTC when this incident occurred. Though this could have been coincidental, it was closely kept secret, by the Jewish held media companies like TimeWarner. I don’t wish to blame anyone, because I know how it feels like, but really, this is a matter of concern, which the American authorities should look into. I hope God gives us the courage, the strength and wisdom to separate good from bad and destroy it. A day will come when this war against terror will end, with us being victorious...

I conclude with a prayer. " I pray to the God of these worlds, to the God of Muslims, Christians and Jews, and every religion in the world that make this world peaceful and clear of terror for mankind, give them enough strength to fight evil and live like brothers. Amen. "

Not True about the Jews
. | Oct 2nd, 2001
That story that Jews weren't at the WTC is completely false. Look at this web page: http://www.snopes2.com/inboxer/outrage/israel.htm

The US will, and is fighthing... and like the Russians...they are not planing to make ground assaults...there adapting chemical warfare...which will.."smoke out" the terror..from Afganistan- they can live with out a bed, food, or a family, but no mortal human being can live with out Oxygen. -Mohammad Raza

What Proof do they have?

"One of them are peaceful and good Muslims that have proof and evidence that Osama is not responsible." What proof do they have that OBL is not responsible. Does anyone doubt he is responsible?

A fact supported by Psychology
I. Zuber | Nov 10th, 2002
If you say something over & again regardless of its factfulness it causes the audience to began accepting it as a fact. While this is the matter with the issue of WHO DID IT? when it comes to WTC tragedy that occured on 9/11/01. The media in US is known to be overwhelmingly owned & operated by certain given elements, and they successfully propagate their hidden agenda without failure. Yes based on many things that occured in the past relating to OBL and those who supported him &/or followed him he is the easiest target, but there is a lot more to this story and it is yet to be found that "WHO DID IT?" However those who carried out such a heinous act of taking the lives of thousands of innocent civilians not involved in an act of war materially or personally & were simply involved in carrying out their very own "JIHAD" (struggle) to achieve sustenance. A muslim is not to even treat their Prisoners of War with such brutality even when presented with a war. It is therefore to conclude that this brutal heinous crime although blamed on certain muslim individuals, does not appropriately represent the intentions of the entire set of Muslim states or the believers of Islam throughout the world; just like the actions of Timothy McVeigh or David Koreish in the USA cannot be collectively used for blaming the congregations they followed or lead. A good Christian makes a good Muslim. Most people in USA who try to make sense out of this brutal act of few and use their wisdom and do not jump to the conclusions propagated by the media are able to conclude that the Muslims of the entire world cannot be blamed for this act of few. I certainly hope that people look at this issue with an open mind and understand that Muslims believe in the same God The God of Jesus, Moses & Prophet Mohammed (SAW), and it is against the mission of Islam, which propagates human welfare as a whole, to conduct or support such less than civilized actions. It is a necessary element of a Muslim's belief to have faith in all of the messengers of God as well as the books revealed to them by God. It is incumbent upon Muslims to regard and respect other religions and their followers. If examined with an open mind surely one would conclude that Islam is a religion of peace and love among humans and not the other way around. Best regards.
