The message: An upstander's anthem Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Peace & Conflict   Poetry

The world has been crying

For those whom suffer

For those whom commit crimes

For those whom aren't listening

For those whom are doing something to change

Believing in equality

Humanity

Truth

Beauty

To speak out in groups

Or by ones self

Trying to making a change happen

The voices scream into the void

All their throats red and raw

Pleading for salvation

Hearts heavy with grief

But strong with determination

Standing at the edge of despair, we say loud and clear:

"Your not alone, we see your scars

We know your depths and were not taking it any longer.

Keep screaming

Stand strong

Never falter

Aim for the target

But never stay silent"

I've seen the results of staying quiet

I'll scream for those whom suffer

For the bystander's

Evildoer's

Sinner's

Weak minded

The upstanders

Keep that fire burning inside.

Pass on the message.
