My heart is heavy is worry, as i talk to young people of my age group; I am worried because every time we talk, its obvious that they are shallow minded. It' sad to say that young people don't spend time to develop their minds. They don't build, nurture and exercise their minds.
All around me, I see young people who have a very low driving force, who are not motivated enough, and who face problems of identity.
The mind is a very strong tool, that makes us who we are, therefore a great deal of time, energy, and effort have to be put into developing our minds.

What they don't understand
Adeyege Abayomi Ebenezer | Oct 24th, 2006
Arinola, I will really agree with you on the issue of the mind and youth of this time. Many are lossing their focus not because they don't have dreams but there is no one to make them discover what they are and what they can do with their talents. many youth have what it takes to tranform many things around us but some how they need to be motivated to see what they are made up of. and Some who are ahead are not really ready to help others out because they are the lastest thing in town so they are less concern about others which is a selfish thing. I hope they will realized soon.

Thans so much, Temi. I know this comment is late, but I also know that one can never really be too late, in time, until he is late( in death). So, can you please enlighten us on how we can build, or develope our mind. I think it is not too late for people like me to start building my mind. I really love you for your creativity and concern for us youths. God bless you.

Omonhomion, i agree with you when you say it is never too late to stast doing something. To develop our minds, you can read. The Internet is a good tool for self-development, most especially google. You can choose an area of interest for self development, and commit yourself to getting resources on it online. Whatever field of endeavour you are looking at, i believe there are free resources out there. Also, you can network with people of like minds. Thank God for this forum, where young people share ideas on how to better the world. You can also invest in buying books, or enrolling for a practical session. Should you have any other questions, feel free to ask. One Love
