I am the plate in which gluttons eat
but that does not make me any lesser,
I am the shortest tree that is never seen
yet I am stronger than the wind,
I am the shield of warriors without one,
the caterer and carrier of all their armors,
the last strategic bow in the arrow
and the victory trumpet blower.
I am the mirror that reflects their dreary features
and the door mat on which they deposit the
proofs I need to incriminate them, to haunt them.
I am the ladder mongers need to see their mirages,
The sheet that carries their filt,
and the glass in which they deposit their spittle.
I am the handkerchief that carries their mucus
and the cotton contaminated by their blood.
Though I am not decorated and opportuned
to share in the laughter and the merrymaking
in the golden banquet hall, I feel honoured
and proud when all the stars of heaven
stand up straight and clothe me in sparkling
garments while the nightingales joyously sing my
victory song and the tree leaves bid me welcome and
felicitations because I am no lesser.
