Who can bear this great torment
That seeps from the crevices
of the innermost being?
The eyes itch red and drip
Hot moistened rain…
Through shafts
Through windows
Not minding doors;
Oh what a life man must lead
From day to day!
It should have been better
If he was here
Nay, with his mom
But he’s gone leaving
A wide weird gap in
The cranes of existence
It wasn’t of yesterday
Nor was it of today
Seasons come and go
Not this one though
‘Cause it wasn’t a season …
it was a life
a soul
a demise …
The philanderer by the inn;
Aloneness dresses in fashion,
Dancing to beats of soul drums
“It’ll never happen again”,
They console
Yet, two’s more than a crowd!
Who can bear this great torment
That seeps from the crevices
of the innermost being?
