There can be lots of influences on teens or youth from different areas. For example, a television commercial, that advertises cigarettes. This may make anyone want to try it. This feeling usually effects youth, because of their curiosity.

not all drugs are bad

I think you guys really did a good job however there is still a need for more research on marijuana I use it for medication as was recommended to me by a medical doctor.Recently there is a research taking place in the States about the uses of marijuana in curing some heart deseaes.

good article very well researched and informative!!

Farah, i think that u made a very valid point about taking drugs at a young age and as well you know i too am a student in grade 8. When i graduate it will have a big influence and impact on me as i move further on. However there are some things that i have questions about well there are some drugs that can cure people so neither you or me can be exact that "all" drugs are bad. But your article made us realize that not be fooled by commercials or posters in taking drugs I also think that especially now we wouldn't even want to think about it right now or a lot of teens will be curious in actually trying it. But good and informative article.

liars!

has anyone here used marijuana or even considered the ones using that do bad, are going to do bad either way. its not the peace-pipe that makes kids rebel its the system that considers smoking cannabis a rebellious action. " No one factor determines who will use drugs and who will not, but here are some things to watch for: - Low grades or poor school performance - Aggressive, rebellious behavior - Excessive influence by peers - Lack of parental support and guidance " this is lies, i smoke pot on a daily basis! my grades are level 4 (above average), i am not aggressive or rebellious i play by the rules that make sense. my peers use marijuana also but it is not influenced upon those who don't use, and my parents and teachers have faith in my work and where im going in life. i am only one example. we need more people to stand against the lies. the laws against marijuana are supported by lies and false accusations. i haven't been in a fight since gr.9 (before i started smoking weed) if anything it makes people more peaceful! as for "club drugs" i do believe they posess very harmful effects and do change a persons personality. marijuana isn't the enemy, read up about on non-bias website or read both sides of the story. this "drug" if you could call it that wouldn't be used by as many people as there are. adults and teenagers need to stand up and not be kicked around by the "law" against naturally growing plants. there was also an article saying that the THC content (main ingredient in cannabis) was rising to make it close to the high of crack and heroine, this is just outright outrages. people should really study instead of listening to others opinions on it, the reality is: alcahol and tobacco are far more harmful than the one love marijuana!
