It is time but...
Truly in the midst of life, we are in
death. God's ways are truly inscrutable
He gives life and takes life
in the face of death like yours
i question in my mind
why? why? why?
Gbenga could have helped but
no answer from him really
what can Akubueze do in such
a dilemma of a darling sister lost
to the cold hands of death?
lo and behold, we succumb behold
Cos, in the plan of God exist
appointed time for everything
a time to be born and
a time to die
Nwamaka was a sister
in her, i was well pleased
burning with the zeal to see our house clean
the buyer of my cloth
the feeder of the house
working to actualize her dreams
of self development and family unity
she handled difficulties with smiles
never an angry moment of her humility praised
she was a friend of all but TIG
admired by all and sundry
both genders alike
Nature song her song on her
Beauty said come and see me
she was an epitome of love
and a responsible sister
Oh! Nwamaka, 'nwa nne m!
my strength is tricking away
my bones are all disjointed
my cloths are torn
my heart has turned to wax
melting inside of me with no consolation
with your demise
oh, Nwamaka, 'onye obi oma'
why did you depart us so soon a time?
where did you encounter death?
where is the future?
nevertheless, my prayer for you
remains
may your soul rest in perfect peace
Amen

« return.
