They Promised Us

They made us promises of life:
To create Three to Ten million
Job opportunities for us
And they gave us hopes of
Standard roads, constant
Electricity supply, Good education
System, exhibition of the Rule of Law
And carrying everyone of us along

But when they mount the saddle
This is still equivocal to us?
Because of their way they choose?
And not our way,
The job creation promised us
Was to “rape our ladies with money
And sexual slavery”, recruiting thugs,
Open day violence and humiliating
The civilian populace, which they say
Is our Immunity Imbroglio?
And we should keep silent?

They made us promises of life initially
But now remunerate us with promises,
Practically promises from the abyss.
