Hear a story, pass it on,
your past is my past,
sharing stories builds common bonds.

Heritage is our legacy from the past, what we live with today, and what we pass on to future generations. Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. What makes the concept of Albanian Heritage and Culture exceptional, is its variable application. Albanian Heritage and Culture sites belong to all the peoples of the country, irrespective of the territory on which they are located.

The Albanian cultural heritage is very important; for its wealth, its variety and its seniority. It asks for urgent attention from national/international authorities and local persons in charge in order to avoid irreparable damages, and to promote its values.

The protection and the preservation of the cultural heritage must be accompanied by a placement of systematic value on the sites.
The sole seniority of certain sites and cultural goods does not imply necessarily an "internationalization" of responsibility toward their management, regarding a preservation for future generations. Alternatively, the seniority of a good patrimonial figure induces the increased responsibility and moral duty of the local persons in charge towards humanity in its entirety.

Today we live in a world of mass media and instant messaging. But an avalanche of information is not a replacement for the meaningful resources of the past . Now more than ever, we need the stories that matter. The promotion of values among generations fills the ancient role in today’s technical times—using the latest tools, it looks back to the past as the critical means for understanding our current condition.

Young people can be the promoters of different intergeneration activities within the community or with their peers. Activism doesn’t refer to just the activities of the youth; it means that generations united can make a difference!

Save photos, but they yellow,
save buildings, but they crumble,
share stories and they will
last…
