You were so young and immature,
but you gave life to your child, though insecure.
Notwithstanding your fears and worries, so sure –
you resolved to have me, although unsure.

I look at my life and thank you for that decision,
because of you, I strive for a life of precision.
You raised me with devotion and dedication
although I've caused so much complication.
At times we were in complete division,
but you were there for me in times of conviction.

I'm so blessed to have you as my mother,
although I do not always bother
to tell you I'm glad to be your daughter;
know now I'm glad you're my mother.

You're my sister, my friend, my comfort zone,
without you I'm all alone;
Although I do not often tell you,
allow me now to say I love you;

and my prayer for you today
is to receive abundance and stay
the African Queen – without dismay.

Writer Profile
Nonnoz

Through writing I express my dreams, desires and dysfunctions. Just about everything that has meaning to me.
My writing was never without a purpose, just as my life and my contribution to life. I strongly believe I become a better person through the collective contribution of every person in this world.
