Bitter tongue invading
Biting into our homes –
The facile embrace of death
On our screens

The blast, the rage of Time past
Intruding on our privacy
Making unwelcome calls on our judgment
24/7

A whole generation reeking of violence
Unwitting victims of the game of power –
Our children, living on lies
Soaking fancied mirrored countenances
Of fashion, frills and farce –
Our future
In limpid pools of red
Smoking pots of ignorance

No!
No dead ends
It’s not too late
To save our language –
Humanity, children of Time present and future
Let’s rewrite the songs of innocence
You and me
Together
