Through My Eyes: Slum Dwelling
Just imagine if kids were allowed to compete in a basketball tournament for free, and eventually work their way towards awards or trophies that would have their name engraved in them. It would have a sustainable impact; to know that they achieved something so special that they will be forever enshrined like the pro athletes or music and movie stars they see on TV. Instead of wanting to imitate how they dress and what they drive, they will want to copy their hardworking ethics to reach the NBA, and hopefully become engraved into a trophy at that level.
