Street Children. Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by John Paul., South Africa Oct 5, 2005
Human Rights , Poverty   Poetry

The hunger the street children endure feels like death itself when it twists the inside of their stomachs causing them to wince in pain.

More than once, they curse why they came to earth being under such torture. They keep questioning themselves what they have really done to deserve this kind of misery.

The too much hunger doubles into anger at God who to them seems to have failed them. Every time things are always on their downside. Whenever coins fall into the plastic plates or cups placed between their legs, their hearts leap with joy and their young sad faces crack into smiles because lunch supper has been secured.

A humanitarian who throws a coin for any street child can never realize how much he she has helped this innocent beggar who is sitting at a lonely corner of a dirty street.

Sincerely, street children need so much of our support and help for they live a complicated life.
