In the morning, after his night watching in the field, her father came back to see a child holding to the bust of its mother as white foam protruded from every possible crevice. There lay the bodies of two innocent creatures who had fallen prey to the uncivilized systems existed during a period when man treated another equal no better than an animal.

Well-written piece, brings tears to the eyes. One wonders how man can be so cruel to his fellow beings? Makes one ask where is the love? where is compassion? where is forgiveness? Where is humaneness????
