Peace & Conflict   Poetry

He struggles to reach
the end of the tunnel,
SILENCE --
He loses his way,
He calls to Him for help
that he might find peace,
SILENCE --
He remains unanswered.
He cries and shouts
he curses...
He wishes to die,
for amid the chaos and fright
he feels alone.
SILENCE --
He forces to forget.
He blocks the light
that shines through a gap,
It blinds him,
he falls...
SILENCE --
he forgets.
He finds his dying state,
it frightens him,
He reaches out...
SILENCE --
the light has gone too far.
He thinks of calling out,
once more...
He fights it.
And then the world turns dark,
he cries...
"Leave me not
for I might die!"
Just when he thinks he's been forsaken...
He reaches out
and grasps a hand.
SILENCE --
Light flashes through,
It fills his world...
He realizes that...
In the silence,
He never listened.

Writer Profile
Feyikemi

WRITING IS MY PASSION. I have always loved writing - both in English and Filipino.

I would like to believe that I have touched some people's lives with the feature articles and poems that I've written in the past. And I hope my future writings will affect many people.

I delve into the deepest and darkest areas of the human soul, where very few people deal with and many prefer to suppress.

My style is always to let out angst in a creative way.

I also write about love, joy, and inspiration and I'm looking at sharing them here.
