Peace & Conflict   Poetry

Of a life of this
Fighting for a world, a humanity
Which no longer exists
Except of that in our dreams, a fantasy
A life which can never be real
Consequence of many not wanting peace or harmony
A life of constant betrayal
Full of prejudice and bigotry
The hatred of another
A civilization seeking others’ anguish and distress
Where money is power
The value of friendship and family is worthless
This is our life, our world
This how we live our days
A struggle with limiting rewards
But it is just 70 years
One day our life will end
Will no longer pursue our quest
But only to be replaced
By a generation no different from the rest
