There is a dire need to conduct epidemiological studies particularly in big urbanized centers as Lahore City. These studies will point towards the complete physiology of the various respiratory ailments and water-borne diseases. The information provided by these studies will be helpful for policy makers to plan, manage and evaluate activities required to promote health and control diseases. Such a study will be a pilot study not only in Lahore but in the country and should be carried out involving all the stakeholders and concerned authorities such as government departments, hospitals, NGOs, Institute of Public Health, Pakistan Medical Association, Unicef and WHO. WWF–Pakistan is a concerned NGO that plans to conduct such studies provided that there is support and funding.

By taking such steps we can contribute towards reviving the glory of a green Lahore with the hope that Lahorites in particular, and the people of Pakistan in general, will have clean and pure basic necessities of life for the future.
