Someone named god
A page is copied;
a tape is dubbed;
a book duplicated---
no trace of difference.
A seed is planted;
a puppy born;
a baby creeps out
of its mother’s womb.
A page is planted;
a tape is born;
a book creeps out
of the printer’s womb.
A lamb is copied;
a puppy dubbed;
a baby duplicated
by someone named god.
It just takes a second
to make another you.
You don’t have to labour
to get the task done.
No stirring of emotions;
no touching of hearts;
that’s just an old man
wrapped in new skin---
a soulless duplication
of someone redundant.

Writer Profile
Judy Keung Kwai hing
I love writing poetry. I like expressing my thoughts and feelings through writing poems. It's a very condensed and direct form of communication, which also makes it very powerful. Words are like crystals in a poem. They sparkle in their own special ways,getting across meaning and mood, sometimes subtly, other times overtly.
