I Let Go Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

The winds of change continue to blow
I close my eyes and I let go
Of opportunities that pass me by
Though mildly depressed I will not cry.

Thinking of those awful days
Lost and confused in a maze
The provoking pressure
The endless stress
No scale could measure
Oh what a mess.

My past I assess
Failed attempts to fly
To "be fruitful and multiply"
I wonder why.

They tell me to give it time, but I don't
Refuse to accept the truth so I won't.
No thanks for dinner, not even a good night kiss
I tried going for the winner...
Swing and a miss!

But time will flow
So I let go
Of all the pain held up inside
And anxiety that is soon to follow
As I look forward to tomorrow.
