When you first read this I hope you didn’t think it was to help yourself because this essay is about helping others. Unless you are like the majority of society and you are poor. The poor people of our society make up our body; they do all the physical work. The rich people are the mind; they do all the mental work. The only other rich people are people involved with entertainment. The fact that those types of people get more money was commonly accepted and no one really cared, but there is beginning to be a difference between variations in paychecks. It is beginning to be lay-offs and homelessness. Now, before you go run off to blame the president or the congressmen, I want you to think of our economic system and who is playing it. Because, it is true that all people have equal rights regarding how you play the economy, but here is the fine print, the laws change as you gain more money. All poor people have the same game plan and all rich people have the same game plan. This isn’t our government’s fault; it is ours because we designed the government and now, if we want it stopped, we are going to have to make a statement. The politics are a reflection of us; I truly believe that we should stop trying to blame the government and start trying to make a difference ourselves. Instead of trying to get the person in office to change, get your neighbors to change. Instead of trying to change the government, change your community.
Our society is meant for the middle class. People that fit into the lower class, have little chance of competing in court with anyone. And, today, the courts hold lots of power over our lives; they decide the outcomes of our lives, in fact. The rich have great control over the courts, being able to afford the best lawyers and make settlements that would be ridiculous to anyone else. This type of activity has got to stop. The court is supposed to be an equal playing ground to decide law, and what did we do? We involved money. We were fools to ever think that economy and law should be mixed. The law controls the economy, not visa versa.
Lack of jobs is our governments fault? What about the employer’s fault? We are supporting companies that send all their work to other countries. The other countries think this is great, because their people are working, and we think it is great because we are helping them out. But what about the fact, that they are getting all of our jobs? Or the fact that they are working to get money but their country doesn’t get any of the materials they made? Now, I am not a genius on economy or how countries operate, but does it not seem odd that they are making things for us and not themselves. Sure, they have jobs to make things, but what are they getting in return? The ability to use up all their resources? Companies that truly care about other countries set up companies to give money to the people that live there and give the country the resources its people make. It is true that we are sending food over, so that is good. In a sense, we are giving them our resources for their resources. However, I would still like to see more companies giving what is rightfully theirs back to the country.
These companies that are taking all of our jobs away, too, are everywhere. And we support them without even knowing it. If you commonly buy from a company, you should check into it. In fact, the Crimson Mango is going to start trying to find out who these companies are. We will boycott them, tell them to give us our jobs back, and together we will bring back our country. And, if we do support over-seas production, I strongly suggest if the company doesn’t pay them minimum wage, we still boycott them. Why should they get the edge over companies that are working so hard to do what is right?
