I often lie awake Precisely in the middle of night While the world is fast asleep I can't just comprehend What has become of our world today The world that has torn apart War here and there Fear of terrorist attacks is the talk of the day And it's getting a bit more dangerous for us So as our life is also precious In our world today, some live with stress and pain Never experienced the pleasure of rain For them life seems unremittingly gloomy And each time I remember How these people are suffering My heart cries for them And with tears upon my cheeks It's just as if I could make a peace In our world today, we make ammunitions For no good, but for our own destructions Though we have wider roads I keep wondering why our minds are narrow We have more than enough experts but less common sense We spend millions on fruitless ventures While millions are living in complete poverty Everyday we live with fear While some people live with tears In our world today, we continue to explore Space But here on earth, we failed to create a space Not only to house peace and unity But also to accommodate uniformity This is where we're making a mistake And what we're going through is really painstaking! « return. |
