Where are you, honey? Are you here at the party? I've been looking for you I've searched all night What shall I do? You are nowhere in sight I've forgotten the time The me I used to be My mind is tired From all the thinking My heart is tired From all the aching What happened? Where have you gone? You are nowhere to be found I walk barefoot on the stones In the darkness while The wind bites at my bones You are distracted With all the talking And you are distant In the chaos of fine dining And the cold on these streets Is more bearable than what you are doing I've been walking all night, Heading nowhere, just pacing It hurts more than you can imagine I'm alone and I'm afraid, If I was ever in your thoughts You would have sensed the pain Did you get lost in the party? Or did you just lose me? I don't want to know What song is playing? Tell me, are you drunk with wine? Or are you just no longer mine? You cannot see the hurt You cause me The lights have blinded you You cannot hear me cry The music is too loud You are high and dry Honey, how can people not realize How can you not realize When you are forgetting someone? Perhaps, you do this of choice When you are caught up with yourself You can truly care about none Wake up, honey Its time to be sober, For when you come to your senses I may be nowhere to be found Would you then wonder How far I have gone? I burn a flame for you in me For so long, even now But it’s too cold in your arms What are we building? If you are not planning To come home Goodbye honey, it’s late But this I tell you I do not believe in fate What happens to us We do to ourselves When we refuse the universes' help I hope for your sake You will never know The pain of wounds That do not heal When I give you my world But you couldn't give me half your love « return. |
