everything seem different, difficult even
for I've always known and relied on
things to stay the same.
Sometimes change is great,
when it brought me to you,
Sometimes it isn't,
when it takes you away
I realize I've lost the familiarity
stepped right into the unknown
traded old formulas for happiness
for your love in return
So I make peace with my past,
for only change is now sure
I dance around my circumstances
and evolve with my future.
I'm adjusting to other changes
like that of not having you next to me.
I'm going forward in my life differently
knowing that believing in itself will set me free
Just so you know this to be true
regardless of how strong or powerful
or immense this change might be
the universe we know will see us through
I'm praying for you to be safe,
Wishing that you are well.
Hoping that life will be kind to you.
amidst this current of change
Its a certainty in the core of my being
that the universe will take good care of you
