Prime-time Princess, walk out in the world,
Mingle in the crowd.
Have your straight hair curled.
Do all that’s legally allowed.

Prime-time Princess, fall in and out of love.
Sail out beyond the shore.
Search for treasure, below and above.
Open every window and every door.

Prime-time Princess, be free of all life’s woes,
But bound to earth by family ties.
Smile a lot and don’t pick your nose.
Don’t tell secrets and don’t tell lies.

Prime-time Princess, be just as happy as you can.
Take and hold the joy you acquire.
Remember there’s always, always, another man.
And don’t be a slave to your own desire.
