Peace & Conflict   Opinions

On African Union’s action, the present peace talks are welcome and I hope for a fruitful result but if that did not work since Sudan is part AU, she can then be sanctioned and the use of force should follow. Although, my approach to conflict management, resolution and transformation has always been negotiation using a participatory approach but at this point, we don’t need any more genocide in Africa.

The United Nations’ concern is well appreciated. To help in this issue, I feel the body should pass all assistance through the African Union. Our leaders are presently using our style of conflict resolution to address the crisis. Please give them time and channel all humanitarian and medical contributions to the displaced and those in Refugee camps through AU. There is every need to be cautious about the impending danger this will pose if the UN actions are misinterpreted.

Long live Africa! Long live African Youth!
