Clipping the Fangs of Gender Violence Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Ibanga Isine, Nigeria Aug 20, 2004
Culture , Gender Equality   Opinions

As it were, there is need for advocacy approach to the fight against the fiend that has perpetually undermined the worth of our mothers and potential mothers. The society must not continue to be phlegmatic in the face of the eroding sense of worth and the blatant incidences of violence against women. That woman bashed, abused and stripped of her dignity is somebody’s daughter, sister, wife, mother, niece and aunt. Violence against our mothers and potential mothers under any guise is a crime against nature and humanity.
