Human Rights   Poetry

Just like the seedlings fighting for survival,
Our lives as youths are compared,
Because our cries are being vacuumed,
And we end up projecting our voices in vain,
In search of true leadership
In a true democracy.

Some never germinate from the soil,
Just as we are left to embrace in unfathomed beliefs,
That will forever observe the truth from our eyes
Some wither for the system sieves those who pose threat
And those tat mature are ensured to evaluate their forefathers
The reality has to remain unfolded least they become vulnerable

The voice still persists
Begging for peace within our nation
For harmony between brothers
The muted voices wish for values of humanity to be respected
For the unborn kids to have a future
The street beggars to have a home
The refugees to pride their countries

But then
The voice is stilled
Shut out from the world o f choices
As it begs for a chance
For the dreams that could be
If the voices could be

The voice seeks for a platform
For a chance to be heard
In the quest for true freedom
In a true democracy.

I like the attitude of this piece and how true it really is to make the world a better place
