One was very big, the two others were small They both wanted to be like the big one The big one looked at both candles He smiled and said ‘I’ll soon be like you' What you both don't know is that, You were not made that way You were once like me And very soon, I’ll be like you Right from when we were created, We knew our work is to shine our light to men And we also have duration of life And what makes our life worthwhile Is how well we shine our light and not how long Even when we're short lived by the winds of life That makes us fulfilled The three candles are akin to men We all have time limits What counts is what we do with our lives Your life is not measured by how long you live But how well you live your life Rich or poor, all has purpose One day you'll leave and your purpose will challenge you When you came into this world You were crying and the whole world was rejoicing Why not live so that when you die, You'll be the one rejoicing, when the world is crying « return. |
