The last thing God made. Men call it God’s mistake, and they have so much proof to make it true; Wasn’t it a woman that deceived Adam into eating that forbidden fruit? Were they not women that made Astute King Solomon walk away from God? Wasn’t it a woman that helped Jacob get the blessings that was meant for Esau? You will hear them argue endlessly!

But I believe women to be God’s perfection. Successful men know what I am talking about. Women are the people that make the world go round. Women are the makers of men. Check your life; there is a woman somewhere that keeps you going? It could be your mum, aunty, sister, or any woman.

Answer this question; why do you think angels prefer appearing to ordinary women (aside from the Prophets) instead of men? It was a woman that angel Gabriel appeared to; an angel also appeared to Samson’s mother in the Bible! My favourite passage in the Bible is the one that says “can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb…” What about the part of the bible that says “…a woman shall compass a man” {Jer. 31:22b}.

When will men begin to give women the respect they deserve? I really believe in that axiom about women doing double what men can do.

Women are the pure quintessence of love. Women are inwardly strong beings. Even when everyone sees no good in a child, it is the mother that will see that child as gold. What about that Pidgin maxim that says “monkey e no fine but e mama like am“?

When will our brothers stop seeing women as nothing but second placed citizens? How can women be second-placed citizens when everyone knows women make men? When will this madness stop?

I want to encourage women; they should come out and take what is rightfully theirs. If they can control the home very well, then they should involve themselves in politics and control our nation for a change. A nation that does not encourage women to partake actively in National duties must never expect to progress. I wish for a day when a woman becomes either a president of this our great nation or a governor of one of the states, so that many will see what I am talking about. Since the independence of our great country Nigeria, a woman has never been a president neither has one been a governor. Though they’ve they been in politics for a number of years, but very few have risen to the acme.

I must also state here that women should not clamour for strong recognition, because by so doing, they limit themselves. Have you ever heard of a “Ministry of Men’s Affairs”? But in almost all West-African countries, there is something like a “Ministry for Women Affairs”, funny isn’t it?

I pray for a time when men will see the great importance of woman, and I believe that day is approaching fast. We should try to recognize the importance of those beautiful, encouraging, immaculate, and wonderful creatures called women!
