My City My City is a city filled with waves of culture that come and go, depending on the times and peoples. My City is a spot that is blessed with the great Lake Victoria at its disposal, the shores that are never wild with waves, but gentle and welcoming. The shore is side-by-side with the green space that gives us a chance to breathe deep and share in great moments. My City has an atmosphere filled with charisma and a charming people. My City, built on Seven Hills, oversees the green beautiful Mother Nature from the rooftops, hilltops and towering buildings. It’s never too cold, but can be too hot! Visitors flock in all through the year to see the beautiful scenery.

It’s has places to chill-out and lay back, to think about oneself and make concrete resolutions. And yes, it has the hangouts for young people. These are the popular spots where the majority of the young generation, many of them University students and the young working class fraternity, come to party and meet after considerable time spent apart. The pocket-friendly nature of the hangouts makes it a feasible venture for the youth to have a good time!

The festive seasons within my City are rather filled with extraordinary enthusiasm over excitement of the events unfolding. Easter, Christmas, and New Years are the most vibrant as far as celebrations and social activity are concerned. The Holiday season in my City is such a maze! With all kids back from school, the eating-places in the city center are always jammed. Talk about Nandos and Steers Debonairs, major suppliers of junk food, the teenagers are crowding at the counters making orders for all sorts of food. The majority of swimming pools at recreation centers are occupied and one simply ought to have a break! A number of international pop-star musicians usually visit to perform concerts. The last pop star that caused untold excitement was Jamaican sensation Sean Paul who came over the Easter Season. Usually the people at these concerts are 90% youth; cheering and singing to the beats and tunes alongside the pop star. It’s been noticed that young people in my City have always had a passion for music, and recently Coca-Cola international took up the initiative to support young people in developing their music talent.

In the outskirts of the City, lie beautiful green spaces popularly referred to as resorts or sometimes suites. Here, you will find open spaces and nothing is in a rush. Everything is done with a peace of mind. With hardly any form of heavy pollution, it is so relaxing that the thought of leaving is dreaded. The green spaces, some strategically located near bodies water give visitors a chance to fish and enjoy boat cruises.

The culture of my city is more or less free-style; in other words no rules of engagement. Religious affiliations, dress and entrepreneurships are all liberal and never restricted. The young people are the ones to watch regarding today’s global trends in fashion and style-they will not let any latest designs by-pass them.

My City is a city for all, no closed gates; simply warm people that are filled with love and live in harmony regardless of race, age and sex. It is a city that is a home away from home for any visitor.
