We sing the songs our elders sung Today and every other day They sang real loud And beat their chests To every word they clung They stood by it and died for it The vows that they With songs did take So we can be alive today Oh lives they did forfeit We sing the songs our elders sung But what they mean we do not know Our voices rise Our eyes are shut But to our hearts they all but sunk « return. |
