But you can't shut me out.
You can bang on drums
But you can't drown me out
You can beat me to the ground
But up I will get
You can shout the odds
But it won't hold any threat
You can humiliate me in a crowded room...
You can laugh at the times I'm filled with gloom
You can love it when I crumble to the ground
You can hate it when I don't stay down
You can hold all the power because it's yours to lose
You can use it with the intension to cause pain if you chose
You can dig me out of happiness...
You can try to fill me with bitterness
You can hide inside your lies
You can be unmerciful to my pleading cries!
But what hasn't worked yet probably never will!
So who is the one with the strongest will?
If you haven't destroyed me when you re through...
Then I know I'm the winner and the loser is you!

When I examine myself, I see writing as the only way to express my thoughts and have been wasting no time, however little, in ensuring that I express myself.
