The Victory Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Reality, Nigeria May 17, 2004

In the dawn of the nights struggle,
When the unsettling ripple settles,
The ponds quietness in stead,
When there aren’t more goals to achieve,

A boring calm takes over the excitement.
The victory won seems to sting,
For there aren’t things to fight for,
Just look back and consider,

Which one is best?
The sweat struggle or cool calm?
The restiveness or peacefulness?
Surely, better a boring calm than it all.

I come alive when I write and the feeling that those few lines may impact positively on a soul unknown to me or even elicit a smile makes it a worthwhile endeavour.
