When the night grows dark and rain comes up A thousand memories and a face comes up The sound of rain creeps up the air And in my ears thy music comes up The scent of drops falling on the sand And thy fragrance at once comes up When crescent peeps from behind the clouds Thy lovely, moon-lit smile comes up The winds kiss my cheeks and flow away The touch of thy hand at once comes up A hope brightens the mournful eve For the glitter of a pair of eyes comes up The chill of rain causes me to shiver The need of warmth, of love comes up The shower giggles around the place The flash of a laugh, a chuckle comes up As pearls fall gently from the sky In my eyes a tear comes up Oh, how I miss those comely days! And in my heart a sigh comes up I know you loved me though you never said For in thy gaze assent comes up. « return. |
