Perfectly Nice Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION
by Jack Lashbrook, United Kingdom Apr 14, 2004

From bud to blossom I’ve watched you grow.
I've tried to pass on a little I know.
You've been a joy in my darker days,
A solace in many, many ways.
You've been Jim Hawkins to my Ben Gunn.
I'm your Friday, you're my Robinson.
And though it's no surprise,
(With your beautiful, gentle eyes)
You've gone from chubby grub to butterfly.
I wish I could take some credit for your loveliness
But it's all your own doing, more or less.
So here's one more piece of paternal advice.
Always be what you are, Perfectly nice.
