is what they have failed to do time and again. The government policies such as assimilation and residential schools and other forms of negotiations in the past and also in the present have only reflected racism and genocide. Due to the government apathy towards the Aboriginal people and their issues a much more “articulate, resourceful, militaristic generation has emerged today who are determined to fight for their rights and well deserved recognition” in Canada. The social liberation movements along with the civil rights movements incorporating the Aboriginal rights have been the trademark for the latter part of the century for the Aboriginal people. Someday they hope to live in complete harmony with the Non-Native people in Canada. Therefore, it is a strong belief that it is the “sovereign right of the Aboriginal people to live and flourish by a different set of rules” now.

Writer Profile

Writing to me is the expression of our soul and the unconcious mind. It is a wave of communications through which we can express our thoughts in great magnitudes.
I experienced the joy of writing from my early teens, when a lot of tangent thoughts would set me up at my desk with a pen and a paper for hours together. It has been the most powerful and inspirational source to man-kind since time immemorial.
Some day i wish to nourish this knack of mine further for the betterment of the society.
As some great person once said "The pen is mightier than the sword", therefore i wish to make this difference in the future through my writings.
