A piece of land it was and still is,
But something special lay in it.

To ALL, it may seem like sand.
To ME, it's the ground where I stand.

The soil contains the blood and sweat
Of the people, once very upset.

They sacrificed their life for a noble cause,
But couldn't stay long to hear the applause.

But NOW, I think it's best they're gone,
Away from this life that's too long.

They won't be able to bear what's true,
And to see what's become of me and YOU.

But the piece of land is still there,
With no spirit and soul to sincerely care.

It's a home to sorrow and hypocrisy,
And is ruled by a weak democracy.

The fire in souls has washed away,
As the heart grows cold day after day.

The sense of security fades away,
And the prevailing good starts to decay.

The hopes within are no longer alive,
In such a place how can one survive?

This place needs a revolutionary change,
Which proves to be influential and not strange.

I pray may GOD light the candles again
And end the darkness and all the pain.

« return.
