Water doesn’t seem to
Quench the thirst anymore...
Nor is the lake,
A fulfillment for the oceans to grasp.
Wants become needs,
Needs that are to be satisfied.
Through this are we pushed,
To the depths of our mind.
Seeking refuge and comfort,
An elucidation to find.
Seeking roads to satisfaction,
Satisfaction we have defined.
Defined as mere pleasure,
Pleasure with no essentials bind.
Bind as no book,
Minds set on a beat.
Set on a stroke,
Upon which mind and heart compete.
Compete for worth,
Worth in life to keep.
No inference to hasty,
Just a mind thinking deep.
