Human Rights   Poetry

Lets gaze around
on this very day
where the human race
Stands today

we lack the knowledge
that's our valid right
and without it today
we've lost the inner sight

each day a conflict
each second a fight
is death our destiny?
is pain our right?

abandoned by the world
we wander each day
disposed of like trash
the grave our only way

we travel in sorrow
we travel in fright
searching for our destiny
searching for our right

a handicapped life
is nothing but agony
with never ending hunger
and appalling humility

still we roam
from lows to heights
searching for our destiny
searching for our rights

surrendering to assault
to barbaric abuse
misery and torture
is what we decide to chose

even today
we can stand up and fight
and select our destiny
and demand our right

Does this world tyranny, which "must end once-and-for-all" entend to the unborn child or will the tyranny against the occupant of the womb be allowed to continue in the name of " our personal rights" ?
