I can't seem to erase from my mind
The need and pain I saw in that outstretched palm
And how they just passed by without the blink of an eye.
Where is the pity for a fellow brother or sister?
Where is the sympathy and love that should be a part of our making?

Many a palm is just as outstretched, but in a proud way
But he did it in an open way.
He did not choose to do so,
But such has become a way of life for him.
Why has everyone chosen to be so callous?
Why did everyone choose to pass him by?

Has my contribution made a difference?
Wouldn’t everyone's contribution have done so?
They say to be poor is a crime,
But it is you who have made it a crime!
A kind heart is one of the richest gifts
A wicked heart is one of the cruellest crimes.
To be rich in love, is to be rich in everything!

sharon

I am the average wife, student and mother to three lovely ‘Miss Worlds’ ages 13, 10, and 4 years old. I have always found inner peace by expressing myself in black and white. I am the sensitive type who pours my emotions on paper, as I feel the pen and paper understands me best.
