You stood tall in death. You lived on in death. You came back to life at death. For the deeds of men they say live before and after them. Your deeds have forever put your name in the annals of history. You lived in times of great peril. You lived perilously for the sake of the common man, in the service of the common man. You lived in the reign of loafers and egocentric men, you took them head on for the sake of the common man, in the service of the common man. You suffered for freedom, you endured hardship and incarceration for justice, you braved sudden death from the hands of the powers in search for equity. You were dogged and uncompromising in the face of determined and powerful adversaries. It is said that men are remembered for what they were supposed to do, what they did well or didn’t do well, and what they were supposed to do, that they didn’t do. Your name, your deeds, and your travails Will forever ring on the lips of men from generation to generation for all that you did in the pursuit of freedom, justice and equity for all. Farewell Gani. « return. |
