Courageous is she... A woman who knows first hand what it's like to lose her way... Fighting, striving, and surviving are the key in reclaiming her place in the lives of her two kids. Playing tug of war with her own mother... whose interest lies, not in the kids, but in the highest bids. She's been knocked down... kicked! Sleeping under bridges around town... Eating out of trash cans and drinking out of bottles, wrapped in the color brown. Transfixed on her need for the taste of intoxication, Fighting back against her own pack of demons that eventually cost her an advance in her education... Sending her down a spiral of horror... Ripping away her dignity, pride, and identity... Leaving her alone, confused, bringing her back to the realization of having no points of views nor justifications until the day, when she'd awake in unfamiliar territory. Being afraid and lead astray sent her to her knees and she began to pray. With tears in her eyes she looked up at the sky and began to say, " Heavenly Father can you hear me? I know you've already forgiven me. For I have sinned and this is no place O want to be. So take me by the hand and appoint me to the road on which I should be. For my two daughters need me. please help me to breathe..." And the heavens began to open and sing: " Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path." And from that day, Sonya wiped herself off and found her way with a smile "always" on her face. Realizing that she was always in the hands of God who put her back on track and in her rightful place... ...THE END « return. |
