Troubled on every side Beaten by the rain, scorched by the sun Struggling for survival Trying to make ends meet Uninformed, the cycle becomes vicious Mistakes are made Unplanned pregnancies, hasty marriages Issues arrive Joy dwindles faster than it came Uninformed, responsibilities increase Life must go on Circumstances present difficult challenges Choices must be made, actions taken Consequences naturally follow Uniformed, the rope becomes too tight Some consequences horrific, other mild They become baits for exploitation People used and dumped Some gain, others loose Uninformed, frustration creeps in They become enemies of their own society Taking revenge wrongly Still compounding issues by their mistakes Will this ever end? Uninformed, the society suffers Information is all they need Empowerment to be free and involved Inspiration to contribute their quota Chance to prove they can The African youth needs to be informed « return. |
