Oliver Twist O my boy!
O my courageous boy!
You weren't wrong to ask for more.
In truth, you needed more,
But sometimes the rules are fixed.
Though cruel, for you they can't be bent.
Be content with the little you got
Or lose what you aspire for and what you have.

In a world where to seek is a crime,
With those selfish reasons
Why, surely and surely
You'll be sentenced for that crime!

Sure, it's not fair,
But you can't pay the fare!
Moreover how are you?
You're just what you are,
Oliver Twist!

Thanks for your comment but it's not a poem by Oliver Twist but about Oliver Twist. I wrote the poem not Him. Mind you dear, Oliver Twist is the name of a character in a novel titled OLIVER TWIST written by Charles Dickens. Bliss!
