Life is a road man incessantly travels until he reaches the dead end. To live in this world is to face the odds of life. Beyond the achievements and triumphs there are always failure and sufferings. When we were just innocent kids we were contented by those things offered by life. As we enter the threshold of maturity we like all things set right. We are usually confronted with the obligation of deciding what career we are going to choose.

We know education will be the measure of our crowning glory. To belong to the echelon of intellectual elite of our society would be just a dream for us if we do not persevere in entering the serious business of life in pursuit of higher education. We like to take the field of professional endeavor that would best suit us and would amplify our capabilities. We believe that the new sun will shine gold across the ripples of higher learning. However, some are catching the gold just for themselves. It seems that we are not yet ready to cross the other side of the road because of the imminent disruption of academic excellence. Some instructors are fond of absenteeism and shortening of time scheduled. They, whom we trust to help us achieve our dreams, are the ones who are dampening us. That’s why we who are at first are eager to learn are now discouraged.

We know a diploma is a very precious thing to possess. But we want to finish college not just by having a diploma but to be competent citizen someday. The future seems so bleak and uncertain to us when we face obstacles. Likewise, the increasing rate of unemployment economic crisis and other threats that our country is facing will also surely affect us.

On the other hand when the future seems so bleak and uncertain we must never grow weary. We must have Faith in God, the Almighty. But without works of faith, success is idle. Therefore, we must continue to chart our destiny with extreme patience and determination and continue on fighting to our right to succeed in our career.
