Exchange Peace Printable Version PRINTABLE VERSION

Human Rights , Peace & Conflict   Poetry

I say to you, “I want peace.”
So then I ask you, “Will you give me peace,
or shall I give you peace?”
But then soon after, I realized we should, instead, exchange peace,
because peace is harmonizing, it is compromise, understanding, and compassion.
It is not some object that you can give or receive. It is a goal,
a way of life that we should all try to achieve
with each other and through each other.

I think everyone needs peace because in one way or another we are all affected by negative things such as conflict, war, abuse, oppression...ect.The road to peace will be a long and hard one, but i do believe we will reach it as long as everyone is trying and contributing for peace
